Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease of the supporting tissue around the teeth. It first develops from previous gingivitis (gum inflammation).
The periodontal disease must be carefully treated first. After successful treatment of periodontitis and appropriate aftercare, there is no other restriction on implant treatment.
